All Island View Parents:

 

We have a beautiful building.  Please help us keep the hall shining.  As you buy new shoes for the fall, select only those with non-marking soles.   Thank you.

Earthquake Kit

All Island View students (gr. K-6) are to have an earthquake kit:

 

Sm. flashlight - batteries separate

Juice, in unopened container

Snack Pack fruit, unopened

Granola Bar or similar treat

Large garbage bag, folded in kit

Anything else you feel is appropriate

 

Place these items in a large Ziploc bag with your name on it.

(The PTA will again be selling packaged kits, if you prefer)


 

Island View Kindergarten

1- 3-ring binder, ½” or 1”, w/ clear cover pocket

2- Report folder (holds 3-hole punched paper)

(Made of paper, not plastic)

1- Backpack, with child’s full name (big enough to hold 3-ring binder)

1- Box crayons (16-ct.)

1- Box colored pencils (12-ct.)

1- Bottle white glue

6- Glue sticks

Plastic bags (Ziploc), sandwich or gallon size

1- box snacks (crackers, granola bars, fruit snacks, etc.)

Please label only backpack and binder.



Island View Grade 1

1- Backpack

2- Pocket folders (pockets at the bottom)

1- School supply box (cigar box size)

1- Pair scissors (little Fiskars preferred)

1- Box crayons (24 or more, Crayola preferred)

1- Box pencils (2 dozen to be shared)

2- Pink erasers

1- Bottle school glue AND 1- glue stick

1- Box tissues (to share with class)

Please NO 3-ring binder or Trapper Keeper

Please put student’s name on everything.


 

Island View Grade 2

1- Backpack

1- 3-ring view binder, 1” (clear outside pocket)

6- Pencils (replenish regularly)

2- Large erasers

2- Large glue sticks

1- Pair scissors (little Fiskars preferred)

2- Sets markers (1 thin tip, 1 wide)

1- Set colored pencils

1- Box crayons (24 or more)

2- Wide-rule spiral notebooks

1- Box Ziploks- Girls-sandwich; Boys-gallon

1- Large box tissue

#2 Pencils/Erasers (a few at school, the rest at home)

3- Jumbo glue sticks (NOT liquid glue)

Caring for Kids

 

Caring For Kids will sponsor our ninth Ready To Learn Fair in Anacortes, Saturday, August 23, 2008, 10:00-2:00 at Anacortes Middle School.  This event is designed to assist Fidalgo Island families with clothing and school supplies so that all students (K-8) have the opportunity to return to school with the tools to be successful.  Parents must have their children with them.
