All students should be reading independently and / or out loud for 20 minutes (minimum) 6 days a week in order to reach their reading goal for the trimester. Their goals are written in the front of their reading journals. Reading goals are based on individual fluency rates.
Week of May 12- May 16
MONDAY Spelling: Unit 33 pretest: Write the words missed on the pretest correctly 5 times each. Do this right on the pretest paper. Math:finish "Another Look / Practice 9-9 [a handout started in class] and  practice math facts.  Reading: finish vocabulary definitions for Farmer Boy Chapter 17 (due Wednesday)  Read for 20+ minutes

TUESDAY
: Spelling: Unit 33,  page 205 (1-14) Math  practice facts  Reading: finish vocabulary definitions for Farmer Boy Chapter 17 and read for 20+ minutes Science: draft for animal report is due on Friday.  Please see the handouts and examples provided for guidance with this project.  See the link to a PowerPoint presentation below: "How to Write the Sea Animal Report"
